Enhancements to FMD Database Access

As well as providing links to Prototype sequences from the WRLFMD web site and to the IAH Virus pages, FMD Database access allows access the World Reference Laboratory's database of FMD samples and reference sequences.  Through the Search samples, Search sequences and Search Biosequence collections options it is possible to search, use and read VP1 sequence data relevant to phylogeny. Match sequences allows the construction of a phylogenetic dendogram of your own VP1 sequence against a reference set.
